New Body Art!
Working with depth and shading, and slowly creating a fabric
looking finish on the skin can look both realistic and animated
at the same time. Thank you to the patient model who made
this design possible, and thanks Yolanda @ BodyFX

NZ Fashion Week 08
Here are some images from behind the scenes a NZ Fashion
Week 08, Coco PR and Street wear shows. The excitement
back stage is hard to keep under wraps with lots of famous
characters as well a hair and makeup artists working away to
collectively to get the models finished, and sent on their way to
change into their outstanding garments. Keeping focused,
calm and paying attention to detail must be part of the art for
those fashionably extended days!

Ogilvy and Marmite... what a treat! 2008
I love doing commercial photographic makeup, and working with
big names such as Marmite and Ogilvy. This job in particular,
was exciting and an honour to be part of, especially when you
can see your work displayed all over Auckland!

Halloween 08
Some crazy kids decided to have their Halloween party
with some freaky friends at their own house. I arrived
with my box-a-tricks, to a house that look normal on the
outside... but totally creepy inside. Made my way through
the spider webs and dark props (supplied by First Scene
Hire Shop in Auckland) to set up my brushes and a bit a
blood. What a blast it was transforming these everyday
folks into Vampires, Gothic witches, Beatle Juice and one
hell of a scary clown... They looked so good even I
wanted to stay... Thanks guys!

Lets see if you can tell who is who....

Halloween vs Batman 08
Went to see the new Batman at the Imax Cinema images at
such a scale - inspiring alright! Before I knew it I had a request
to make up these interesting faces. It as a busy Halloween
alright... Not for the faint hearted should I say!
The electric violinist merged into his dramatic and gory
character! It looked so realistic I even got myself all creeped
out when I was layering on the scabby blood! Whoa, it really
was an electric performance as he teamed up and played his
violin in time to the up beats of the DJ. Yes the DJ, smug...
posing as his new character 'The Joker' played tricky tunes all
night, another character form the new Batman.
