Do we facilitate makeup courses and lessons?

Yes we do! Now you can be trained by Monika herself in her gorgeous 
makeup studio in New Market, or she can come to you. 
Beginners, intermediate and advanced short courses and one on ones.

How can I book and pay for a make up course?

Beginners – Intermediate & Advanced – requires you to fill in an application form with a $200 deposit (non refundable).
 Balance of $400 to be paid via direct debit or eftpos prior to the makeup course.
One on one training – requires a 50% booking fee (and completed application form). 
Balance of to be paid via direct debit or eftpos prior to the party. Cash on delivery is acceptable.
Makeup parties – requires a 50% booking fee (and fill in application form). 
Balance of to be paid via direct debit or eftpos prior to the party. Cash on delivery is acceptable.

How big are the classes?

The courses are up to 8 pupils and provide a lot of 
one-on-one training and time for questions. The studio is 
formal but has more of a lounge atmosphere than a 
classroom or shop setting. It’s very important that 
you are relaxed and are comfortable so that you can learn as much as possible!

What will be provided on the courses?

Makeup will be provided
 and you can bring your own makeup too. You may bring your 
own brushes, or brushes may be purchased from Moni Makeup 
at the start of the course. Makeup will also be available for purchase.

What can I learn on the courses?

Learn about your skin type and its needs as well as makeup 
styles to suit your face shape. Knowledge of equipment and 
makeup products. I cover Moni Makeup signature looks 
from natural beauty to evening glamour, so you can look 
great for any occasion. I will assess which look suits you the 
best and then you can focus on getting that look – YOUR 
’signature look’ with your colours - perfect!

When I finish the course?

On completion you will receive a beautiful 
digital portfolio of your journey and more importantly your 
’signature looks’, which you can use as a reference again 
and again for many years to come. That’s real value! You will also 
receive a certificate on  completion of the course.

Do we travel out of Auckland for jobs?

Yes we travel anywhere, however additional charges will be added 
for jobs outside of Auckland.

How many artists / stylists can we supply?

We have a small team of Auckland based artists and assistants to 
meet your needs.

What are the main products we use?

MAC Cosmetics
Inika Cosmetics (Certified organic & minerals for the natural option!)
A small range of other pro brands

How much do we charge for our commercial services?

Commercial makeup and film are charged out on a fixed full day 
or half day rate.  Price may vary according to other requirements, wardrobe,
 special materials, wigs, hand crafted accessories / SPFX etc.

What wedding services do we provide?

We come to you for a range of bridal packages.
 Bridal makeup and hair, bridal consultation/trial 
bridesmaids makeup and hair (discounted prices for more than 3 bridesmaids). 
Makeup and hair for other important guests.

Do we do makeup and hair for balls?

Yes, we encourage a group of girls to get together at one house, so 
that a couple of hairstylists and makeup artists can make you beautiful!


Terms of Trade

Payment

All personal service bookings require a deposit of 50%, (which will be retained if a cancellation is made within 8 hours of the service booked). The balance must be paid prior to job by direct transfer, by eftpos or cash on delivery is also acceptable. Full for a ‘no-show’ (no attempt to contact us to make a cancellation). Wedding hair & makeup requires a deposit of 50% (which will be retained if a cancellation is made within 30 days of the proposed wedding date). The balance must be paid prior to job by direct transfer, by eftpos or cash on delivery is also acceptable. Commercial work may be paid into our account on receipt of our invoice. A cancellation made within 8 hours or shoot will account 25% of total job. Courses require a deposit of 50%, (which will be retained if a cancellation is made within 30 days of the course). The balance must be paid prior to the course by direct transfer, by eftpos or COD is also acceptable.

Travel

Travel within Auckland is included. Anywhere past Albany, Westgate, Takanini, and Howick will be pre discussed and charged. Paid parking (e.g.Auckland CBD) will be discussed and charged. Waiheke travel will be discussed and charged, i.e. ferry, taxi etc.
